Tsunami warning for Alaska after 7.4 quake

24 Jun 2011
The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 7.4 earthquake has been recorded in the Pacific Ocean off Alaska's remote Aleutian Islands. The Alaska Tsunami Warning Center says a tsunami warning has been posted for certain coastal areas of Alaska. That warning covers an area from 80 miles northeast of Dutch Harbor to about 125 miles west of Adak. The quake struck Thursday evening. [HAARP is a busy little bee!]
