While looting Palestine’s natural resources: IEC demands the PA to pay $280m in electricity bills

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) said that the Palestinian Authority owed it more than 280 million dollars in electricity bills.
The IEC told the Israeli parliament’s economic committee in a discussion on Friday that the bills are jointly shared by the Palestinian electricity company and the PA.
The IEC had threatened to cut off power supply to the West Bank in the event those bills were not paid.
The PA is forced to purchase power from the IEC as Israel would not accept the building of Palestinian power plants or the purchase of electricity turbines by Palestinian localities.
